Treasured Memories at Pismo Beach

We just got back from one of our most favorite family vacations ever. We spent 6 days at Pismo Beach. It was such a blast! There's nothing like camping in a trailer at the beach! Of course it doesn't hurt that we get to stay for free. ;) Thanks to my family for owning shares at Holiday RV Park. The RV park is really great too! Pool/Spa, a block from the beach and a 5 minute walk (at the most) to town equals a really awesome time!!! :) We are so blessed! Plus the kids are at a really great age to go camping with. They sleep in til 7:30am and take at least 2 hour naps (that's better than at home!). They love, love, LOVE the beach...and the trailer. Every night they insisted that we thank Jesus for our trailer, so sweet! We also found a really great restaurant with some awesome fish and chips. It's worth the 3 hour drive alone. Hahaha!

Our trailerBrandon setting it up...
The kids loved their beds. Davey called his "the up bed" because we'd have to lift him up into it. Haha!
Here's our favorite things to do at Pismo Beach...

Taking morning walks along the beach to collect seashells,
Uh-oh, all her seashells fell out. So dramatic...Building sandcastles,
Check this one out that somebody made...Eating breakfast at Coco's,
kisses and secrets for daddy...Davey writing his name at breakfast...
Riding trikes around the RV park,Trying new restraunts. We're on a mission to find the best fish 'n' chips at Pismo. We think we found them too. Spyglass Inn Restaurant's were a.maze.ing!

Davey eating his first bowl of clam chowder at Splash Cafe...
(Scarlett had some too)
Exploring Shell Beach,Throwing rocks at Shell Beach is fun too. ;)
Daddy turned into a little boy again while at Shell Beach. He was having so much fun searching for creatures of the ocean.
Let's play "Where's Waldo", can you find Brandon? ;)Davey and Scarlett really enjoyed the hermit crabs...Flying a kite on the beach,We went to the local kite shop and let the kids pick out a kite...Putting it together with daddy...Taking walks to the pier and the yogurt shop, Yes, Brandon wore a fanny pack the whole week...and yes he loved it.Scarlett and I in our new sweatshirts. Mine is black w/pink writing and hers is pink w/ black writing. :)
Davey and Scarlett got along really great!Although, at times there was a little of this going on... ;)Pretty girl.Finding different playgrounds to play at,B and I enjoying the view while the kids played...B being a little dangerous as always...Check out all the birds! The kids really loved the playground at Avila Beach. Especially the cool pirate ship!Davey with his new friend Zack. We hung out quite a bit with the Edwards' family (B's friend from high school). They were so much fun, and the kids were instant friends. :)Our new friends showed us this place...Avila Valley Barn. So awesome that we went by there twice. They have lots of farm animals to pet and feed. Plus, their pumpkin bread and baked apple chips are amazing!Last but not least (probably the kids' favorite part) playing in the ocean,
You can always tell Scarlett really loves something because she screams with delight ;) ...Whenever we'd get to the beach Davey would run as fast as he could to the water...What a fun trip! Now that we have a trailer we'll be going up to Pismo all the time!!!
